+1 for green sunfish. I thought it was a warmouth for a second, but the ear and spotting make me say green.

no not table salt use aquarium salt. and how many gallons is he in? and yes do a water change before if you want to

he will be easy to get off live if you have patients and if he is under 4'' you can still do it if hes bigger it'll just take a while

Can I use table salt ,when it rain it pours, to heal his fin and hook hole ?

Table salt is ok if it's not iodized and doesn't contain additives. Kosher or rock salt are better because they are pure sodium chloride without anything else added. You'll get the same results as paying 10x more for aquarium salt from your lfs.

As far as eating goes, my neighbor got a small one and i had it in a 10 gal, before i gave to my friend for his pond. He would take everything from feeder goldfish to mealy worms and after 4 days he started to take in hikari floating pellets for me. GL with yours
