Help I.D. Fish

+1 for green sunfish. I thought it was a warmouth for a second, but the ear and spotting make me say green.

Um He is in a 55 gal . He about 4 1/2 in. And what do you mean "he will be easy to get off live?"

Table salt is ok if it's not iodized and doesn't contain additives. Kosher or rock salt are better because they are pure sodium chloride without anything else added. You'll get the same results as paying 10x more for aquarium salt from your lfs.

Where Do you get rock or kosher salt?
 
As far as eating goes, my neighbor got a small one and i had it in a 10 gal, before i gave to my friend for his pond. He would take everything from feeder goldfish to mealy worms and after 4 days he started to take in hikari floating pellets for me. GL with yours
 
Becareful feeding feeders, they may carry parasites.

Yes i have learned to quaratine them ...becuase i lose my beautiful arowana when it ate some :(
