Help I got a ick problem?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I lost my male convict this morning from ick. The female is still alive but doesn't look that great. Have put temp up to 30deg cell - 86def far. Will be doing 50% water change soon. Don't have any salt to put in.

This is my first ick experience. I'm gonna clean gravel when I do water change. Should I clean filter too? Will ick be in filter?

any salt is better than none u eally need salt to kill it ur wastin ur time puttin up the temp without addin salt

some would clean the gravel but not me i would leave lights off and just try to give the fish as much stressfree time as pos till the spot is gone

All I have is table kitchen salt. Didn't think it would be alright to use.

I use morton canning and pickling salt, walmart, in grocery, couple of bucks, green box, ingredients:salt , it's the only one I could find that doesnt have any other additives, same as api aquarium salt,i think it's like a4# box.
