I just built my a new stand for my 300 gallon acrylic tank and placed it on the stand. I was putting the tops in when, WHAM!!!, one of them fell through their hole and hit the bottom of my tank right by my overflow i was pissed when i saw this huge crack radiating from the corner of my overflow.
However it didnt go all the way through to the bottom part of my tank that touches the wood. It is smooth as a baby's bottom. However the floor inside my tank where the top hit, i can feel a crack about 1" infront and on side of my overflow box; the crack itself is about 10" long. When i look on the outside of my tank at the bottom piece i see what seem to be like a stress fracture in the thickness of the bottom piece of the acrylic. I haven't even filled it up with water yet so what should i do, should i fill it up seeing that it didn't go all the way through or should i take the necessary steps to repair it. If i repair it what are those necessary steps?
