That sucks. Take a breather and leave the tank alone. Come back at it with a fresh head and some advice from us, you'll be ok.

Good advice, leave it for now and calm down.

where can i get weld on? what number should i get? how much of the area should i cover; just the area where it is cracked or half of my tank? what thickness of acrylic should i use to cover it?

buy acrylic sheet that will completely cover the crack or most of it since its close to your bulk head then seal it in with some weld on look around in the yellow book or online in your location wherever you get the acrylic should have weld on too good luck

usually #3 or #16 id say 3 to 5 mm

quick question not to thread rob but whats the difference between 3 and 16? i was told when i bought my 400 that the ends where trying to split and to use #16. so i was just wondering if 3 is cheaper or better or what?

honestly no idea i think its just viscosity like oil the 3 is lighter and the 16 is thicker for filling in spaces and stuff i know they have a 40 and that stuff is almost like cement thick

Our 300 gallon tank sat in its crate for several months before we set it up. When we finally took it out of the crate, we were horrified to discover a crack in the floor near a corner of an overflow box. The tank manufacturer sent two pieces of acrylic to repair the crack. Since it was going to be a bare floor tank, I was worried about how ugly it was going to look. Using only one piece of acrylic, my husband came up with a very creative repair job.

The repair is the only "decoration" in the tank:)

Without pics, i would say the simple patch job would suffice. Just get a nice sized piece of acrylic and some Weld-on to patch it. Weld-on should be available at any local plastics supplier.
