Sorry that happened. There’s rarely a need to artificially lower or raise pH. The fluctuations from playing with those chemicals can cause more problems. Best just to leave it alone out the tap. Most fish can adapt different pH as long as it’s stable

The feelers can grow back it just takes time. Also if it doesn’t do it, u can grab a needle and poke to stimulate to regrow

Wow never heard of that…very interesting. I thought they never grow back. can you give us more info on how it’s done and have you tried it successfully?

for me doing it, no i got lucky where my aro lost half its lip but was able to re-grow its barbel on its own.
