I really don't know what's wrong with my arowana. He has been dark spots on his scales. It looks like bruises. Not quite sure what it is. It hasn't been eating for several days, it sleeps at the bottom of the tank. Hasn't been active at all. When I come back from work, it'll begin to swim around, not too much.

Can someone please tell me what to do?

flagtail is asking if the RTG has been attacked by the pleco or the FF. not if your arowana is a pleco.

definitely looks like an external injury though. maybe some fish are picking on him at night, leaving him stressed and sitting at the bottom.

salt, water changes, and pay attention to the other fish

Hi,

The other fishes are extremely tiny compared to the aro... i highly doubt he is getting attacked. The only fish coming close to its size is my tiger fish (Datnioides Quadrifasciatus).

Could it be he tried to jump up and get injured?

btw, what is ff?

thanks for your help

it's still possible. you'd be surprised at what some tame looking fish can do.
i can't really tell how large the rtg is but it doesn't look heavy enough to injure itself like that from a jump. even if it did it's more likely he'd bust his face than his lower back. unless it jumped out of the tank.

ff is fei fung aka flagtail prochilodus. i think.
