Help! I think my laptop is infected.

I'm getting a warning that says;

Symantec Endpoint Protection Alert
The contents of anti-malware.zip is infected. Do you want to repair it?

I think it's a trap. How do I remove this? I use a Mac, if that's any help.

What's wrong with that advise, if he is asking for help for a mac on a fish forum I thought it to be the most effective solution.

If you don't live near a store, than call they have service just for you.

I'm not even sure if Malwarebytes will work on Mac. They even have a forum to teach you how to remove malware. GOod luck

is it something that looks like a window from your own lappy? like when you look at it, can you see *my computer, disk drive* etc? if you can then just close the window and it should be ok provided you haven't clicked the bit where it says do you want to repair it.

its just some internet thing that makes you think your pc is infected but really it isnt. i'd run ur antivirus to scan ur pc after just to make sure everything's fine.

you have a mac. a .zip file won't work anyway. you are fine as long as you deleted any evidence of this.
