I'll go with any Aro I can find... That was the first Aro I've seen here in Cincy in 3-4 YEARS, nobody around here has them, I found 1 store with a Silver 20", but they wanted $250, my wife would kill me if I spent $250 on a "fish".
But I'd like to setup this tank with my 2 CK's, 1 or 2 of my O's, and add a Gar and an Aro. I'd really love an Endli, or a Dat, but I've never seen those here in Cincy so...

just go order some young ones from 3-6" of the Jardini Arowana lol from Nick in NE-Cichlid or something...he can ship it to you and its not that costly as before...if you lived in California boy you wouldn't have trouble finding some Arowana's...their everywhere here

Well I heard jardini's may not be the best choice as a community tank aro tho... Is that just a myth?

what happened to your silver? did you say you had a lid? maybe your baby monster jumped though the opening of the lid? but 8 feet? that's way too far.. maybe is slipped through the lid.. maybe it had mutant powers.. lol.. jk man.. but seriously, how did he do it?

The lid is the hard black plastic that I suppose would be typical of a generic store bought tank, lid was down when I went to bed, when I woke up about 5-6 hours later to feed her, she was on the floor. I'm guessin she just hopped out and hopped a couple more times on the floor to end up where I found her which is about 8' away from my tank.

Good news though, I just happened to stop by my LFS on the way home from work and they had another Silver about 3-4" for $24.99, my fish of the month membership dropped her to $20.... Can't say no to that! AND they had Dats (which they never do) for $30 apiece, but thanks to MFK I found a guy who lives 2 minutes away from my job (DPulcher) whose selling his Dats for $15 apiece!!! My monster tank is coming along beautifully! I love you guys!

good to hear that! but next time, get a better lid and put some weights on top of it.. lol
