Help Id my new piranha

Looks like a baby red belly. Colours will improve as it grows, but looks like classic red belly to me, I could be wrong though. Nice fish either way.
Hmm, only a little experience with piranhas here but I see what you mean. It looks more elongated than a red belly, and the slope of the head looks wrong. But then again I am no expert on piranhas. Hope others will help you

I was just looking up pics of baby red bellies and that is not a red belly, they look quite radically different. I still don't know what it is, but that is not a red belly piranha

Not a RBP, your LFS must be lying to you pal, at mine stuff is always mislabeled, you are bringing wrong information from there too here.
It's not a pygocentrus nattereri (aka rbp) that's for sure, it's a serrasalmus, I would say it's probably a serrasalmus rhombeus but sometimes it's hard to 100% ID a juvi serra as they change their appearance over time.
How big is it now? maybe post more pictures of it few months down the road so we can get a better idea what it might be.
