I do agree it is one of the Red Shoulder variants. Personally without a very good clear side pic I can not say if it is hybrid. Do a search for Aulonocara Stuartgranti "Red Shoulder" and look for a site Chiclid-Forum. They have a nice species profiles you can look thru to see if one of them is the same as yours. How big is this guy? If he is still around 2" I would also look at the Twain Reef profiles.
 
A. hansbaenschi is the old name for the 'red shoulder' - I believe it is now in the A. stuartgranti-type group, but the locale eludes me at the moment and my Malawi book is not handy.

Yes, you're right. An A. hansbaenchi is just a A. Stuartgranti , anyway...that is what I believe LilBabyEmma's cichlid is

You did red that in the link you just posted it say that it is not a real name and is not recognized. Fake scientific names are worse than trade names. They create a lot of issues for the hobby and hobbyists.
