Help Identify:::: KKP or BPs???

really they dont have to have closed mouths? is that just better quality when they can close them?

all parrots here no matter what kind are $25 and if its not a kkp and i return it back they give me $8 for it.... i cant afford to keep taking the loss does anyone know of a website that i can order a KKP......
 
No they do not have to be closed mouth. They do not need to be pale or vibrant to be kkp or not.

Colors, mouths, and shapes are all about quality or preference. Does not tell you if the fish gonna be huge or not.

I can say because I've seen many huge 8"- 10" kkps before with open mouths of all levels of colors and shapes. Colors depend on their mood, water, or age.
 
The slope on their forehead is much more pronounced on the BP, more gradual on the KKP.

Ive never seen an LFS carry real KKP. They might say they are KKP, Just to make the sale. Id suggest seeing if the LFS can special order you one or get one shipped from overseas. They are not cheap fish, but worth it for a good one.

I went to the store again i took a couple pics this time of the parrot tank while i was there so here they are.....

They said they ordered 10 of them as KKP they just arent sure either


Tell me what you think..... i think the dyed red parrots might be them

the ones with the more pointy mouths or look more like on the red devil side and less on the parrot side at the face would be KKPs..

Sometimes a blood parrot can be crossed with a midas or devil to create kkps too if the offsprings keep the parrot look and grow with the size of the amphilophous
