This royal pleco is being sold to me as an l27. Its 3.5-4 inches. Can someone please help me find wat "l" number
It is. Im trying to see if it is an l27 or something else. Everywhere i look it gives me mixed answers and number and locations and blah blah blah. Lol

It is infact an L027 Panaque cf. armbrusteri`xingu` "Xingu Royal Pleco"

Thanks for that info. Now i have another question... While i was doing research i found that L27s also have letters next to them. Some are L27a l27c etc. is this pleco pictured any of those or is it a straight l27? Or what? Lol

That fish is Panaque nigrolineatus (L190/L330), not any of the Panaque armbrusteri complex.

How anyone can identify without seeing the angle of the teeth is beyond me! L190 has a more acute angled row of teeth, <90*, L27 has a wider >90* angled row of teeth.

I don't mean this to sound glib, but if you see enough, you just can.
 
I agree with Matt, sometimes you can just tell by the color etc
