Help identifying this cichlid

The mouth screams amphilophus to me. In tank shots as stated already are necessary.

but i can see where people are saying FH. i would agree there! or a midas.
there are many varietys and i have seen black ones before !

i'm going to say a very stressed out barred midas.
he has a regular amphilophus mouth and he could
possibly be hybrid with a flowerhorn but i haven't
yet seen a flowerhorn x barred midas but i think
that would be the best guess here, when he grows
a little into your tank i'm sure well see the true deal.

from what we can see right now, put it the tank and let it get used to it
then well see what we have.
it's easiar to verify something in the tank than out of the tank cause you
can see it a whole lot better.

I've had this fish for some time now and its doing much better. I never thought it would make it! I've put it now im my 220 and it seems to be doing even better. Any opinions now as to what it is? Original pic is at the bottom
