its pretty funny. the EBJD just gets up into everyone's face, acting all tough but everyone just ignores him. funny story behind the goldfish... i bought a bunch of feeders to give my RTC a last meal before i got rid of him. one survived because it got stuck behind the heater. I used it as a test fish, and it lived. now it's a fat bastard.

Darn, beaten to it. Also called a "mad barb" for reasons that escape me. They grow about three feet long if given enough space, turn a solid greyish and are fairly good jumpers. Pretty peaceful too.

I forget where they originate and too lazy to google...wherever they live naturally, they eat the seeds from the native trees and it makes them go kind of drunk, they whirl and spin around in circles I guess.

I made the same mistake as you, bought three on a whim (my tags said they only got to be a foot, and I didn't research). I brought mine back to the store I work at about a month ago, they grew quick, were about 8-9". They were pretty peaceful and ate everything I offered.

just a small update, i've had these guys for about a month and i swear they've grown more than an inch each! I wish they'd stop moving so i could measure them... their mouths are huge. they can eat those hikari carnivore pellets whole!
