Hey guys, i just found this bug in my backyard and it was so nice looking and large that i convinced myself to take it in and see what type of species it is. I live in Montreal Canada so this must obviously be native to the eastern coast of Canada and maybe some parts of America. Its fairly large, about the size of the tip of my thumb to the middle knuckle of my thumb, it has large claws where its two front feet should be and very large large that stick out of its head. I was thinking that maybe it is a June Bug but you never know.
Anyways here are the pictures that i took and maybe you guys can also tell me how to take care of it?

Cool!
i live in Canada so obviously winters a factor here, should i let him go back into the wild were he will only be alive for like a few more months or keep him in captivity?

Once these guys turn into adults they don't feed. They survive for a few days to a few weeks to breed and then they die. So I guess it would be best to let it go after it's final molt.

kk, so i keep him for like 3 years till he molts then let him go so he can fly around?

Nope, if you found him above ground, then he will molt within the next day, dry his wings and fly away. I would put him on a tree limb to finish his molt.

Coz its one hell of a weird looking bug
Interesting tho
