Help ID'ing this bug please

because as much as I like the find,something reminds me of the microscopic ones that are on us already and that looks like a giant one.I guess I picture it wanting to burrow into your skin.So yes,I keep giant spiders,snakes and lizards but though cool now,it looked real creepy to me at first.Good enough?It was also a bit of a joke.

ooh. it's a cicada larvae. its very rare to find them out of the ground. that must mean it's ready to molt any day now and become a noiscy, horny cicada. once they reach adulthood, they dont eat. they just wanna get laid til they die.

Never seen larval one alive, just the shed exoskeletons on trees. Pretty cool.

I see those guys all the time... well, at least the molted skin of them before they take flight... on all the trees.
