I'VE GOT A NEW TANK IT IS THE AQUASTYLE 620T WHICH HOLDS ABOUT 150L. THE FILTER THAT CAN WITH IT WASN'T DOING A GOOD JOB AND I'VE HEARD THAT EHEIM WAS A GOOD BRAND FOR FILTERS. PROBLEM IS HOW DO I KNOW WHICH ONE WILL SUIT MY TANK?

I have an AC 70 on one of my lighter stocked 40's and it does very well. If you added that to your existing system it would shine :) Now...media is the important question. I would load the New filter with bio media, and the old would serve as bio/mechanical....Does this make sense to you?

My rule of thumb is, first off, leave the filter you have on the tank. Second, find the brand you like. Then, find one rated for twice the size you have. I like overkill.

The above poster has a great idea. One should be strictly bio and the other a mix.
