I seen a post on here not too long ago. cant remember what the title of the post is. But it was of a fish that someone caught locally. Well we have them where I am and I am trying to ID it.
The fish is about 3" long. It spawned at that length because I seen it in a type of spawning bed with many many many little ones all around it. I should of taken a picture of it but I didnt have a camera with me.
The fish is a greenish color for its body. tips of its fins and tail are white. Has some really pretty blue, red, white, and green lines under its eye on both sides of its mouth. Also has a pretty good size black spot about midway down its body that is surrounded by white.
The fish was only a few inches from the shore where its spawning bed was. I put my hand in the water and was able to touch it and it not be scared. Tried to pick it up out of the water but it took off on me. But always came right back.
Any help in finding this post I am talking about or a picture of one would be great.
