Help, is my 20g overstocked?

Most people would say it is overstocked. But asking as you maintain good water quality and the fish don't show agression or signs of stress you're fine.

You took your parrots and put them in a 20 gal, and took the kirins that were in the 20 gal and put them into the 55? 
I hope your getting that 125 set up soon
And why can't you put the kirin's in the 20 and the parrots in the 50?..
