Help is this a blue eye

My lfs is selling this as a blue eye pleco, it looks just like one but the eyes are not blue.

It is a Colombian blue eyed Panaque, yes.

I do not know about that. The bristles are not big. But do not take my word for it,panaquewise.

it could be male and they cliped the chew chew for shipping purposes

The eyrs are not blue bevause from those pics the fish looks sick and could be on iys way out.
The eyes look a bit sunken in imo and the body colour is dull.
It could be sick, it could be stressed and I'm pretty sure its a bit starved as well.

How long have they had it?

He told me to make him a offer, but is it worth buying him and bringing him back to health if i can get him for a cheep price. The store had him since the summer.

I think it all depends on how much money you want to risk buying yhe fish.

If it really has been there since the summer it probably just needs to be cared for properly.
Some good quality food lots of space including hiding spots and clean water should bring it back around
