Ok awsome, now i understand. Thank You JML and Lab Rat. Its actually the same method as checking to see if crabs are male or female. Male crabs "tail" (under their body) is pointed and females more rounder.

No problem, that's what I'm here for. I'll have to remember how to sex crabs next time I'm at the beach.
ok so i havent vented my Jag as yet, however, i have checked him out while he is swimming at the top of the tank. I see a small "spike" sticking out right near/on the area of the white mark, its definately separate from his Anal fin, but just infront of it, could this maybe be a penis of some sort? Or do both male and female Jags have this?

If it's sharp and pointing backwards it's male, if it's blunt and pointing straight down it's female.
yea, sharp and pointing slightly backwards you can say. . .but will try get the vent done, im waiting on my Aunty's Decent Camera
