help knife fish

hay every one my knife fish has some weird thing under his mouth not really sure what it is, its like a reddish pinkish bump. sory for the bad pics he would not sit still for me

Hmm strange.. The only thing I could really think of is that knife's have delicate skin so somewhere, days, possibly weeks ago, your knife cut himself or got into a quarrel with another fish and cut himself. The cut got infected and turned into a sore.. As far as treatment I'd say ramp up your w/c's and such to help him out with fighting the infection. It is a nasty looking lump though, good luck!

okay thanks for the info hope he gets better would really hate to lose this fish I've had him for like 4 years
