There are quite a few plants in the tank. I decided to put a partition in and add a couple of Africans on the other side. I am going to create some hiding spots and try to add them into general population. We'll see if he needs a little distraction. I am afraid he's become to dependant on the mirror. When I remove it, he just pouts. This time he pouted himself sideways on the bottom. I honestly, think it's some sort of depression. You know how you know your fish tank...I really think I know that is what it is.

Did you get rid of all your parrots? Keep the mirror then, maybe hes lonely or needs to fight with something.

He's really into the africans on the other side. I made some hiding spots on norms side. I may remove the partition soon. He's become real inquisitive about the Africans in turn spiking his activity. I think he was lonely.

As contradictory as it may be, it's really working. BTW, I do still have my parrots. I swapped them from one tank to another. The parrots are upstairs with the Clown loaches and a breeding pair bushy nose pleco's. They are all really healthy. I've been into my salt recently. I have started a 20 g long reef tank. Its awesome.

I'd really bump that pH up. Non of my tanks pH are under 8.0 at all. flowerhorn in general thrive better in higher pH, seriously. Keep in mind that adding salt into it directly and not for the right treatment will bump the pH dramatically. Keep us updated how Norm is doing...:)
