HELP! MAKING MY TANK WIFE FRIENDLY

I agree with all the responses, especially the bare bottom, and the friend (preferably girl) or pros to do the maintence. But...


I tried leaving my x-wife incharge of my tanks when i first left, This may sound like im being negative, but in my case I'd have been better off draining the tanks and starting over upon my return... cuz thats what happened when i got back.

Try not and make your wife deal with extra stress (fiskeeping not stressful to us, because we enjoy it) while you are gone. And if she gets mad at you she might kill your fish!
 
YOU SET IT AND FORGET IT!!!...

then put your light on a timer and your golden, all she has to do is put more food in it...

but they do have enought food for about three months...
 
nah, this is simple guys.
speaking from a girls perspective, i would try to include her in whatever care you do already, like maintenance of your filters, waterchanges and feeding. make her take over simple things BEFORE you leave.. like feeding the fish. if i were you, id type out a schedule of maintenance and how often to feed and what to feed.

give her your name and login password to this forum, and tell her that if she needs help or has questions to hop on here and just ask--we are more than happy to help her.

now, if she doesnt seem interested in the tanks, and moans and groans about how hard it is, and that she hates waterchanges (uh oh!) you better just give your fish away,drain the tanks and start over when you come back.

auto water changer and auto feeder and tell her to clean the filter pads every month and your set for years good luck over there
