[Help] Mala or Curu Wolf fish?

Hi,

I've just bought a wolf fish which the seller said was a curu. I specifically asked if he was sure it was not a mala and he said yes, it's a curu, or black wolf fish which is what I'm looking for.

The bottom of the jaw has the V shape which looks like a mala to me.

Is this a mala?
