Help me choose a pleco

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well...saw an albino BN at the lfs today and bought it. I still may get a royal also. That shouldn't be too many plecos right? Tank is 170G, 72x18x30.

u can do more.. with a 6ft tank.... alot more.. but make sure to have enough filtration for the bioload u have..

U can probably do a decent size pleco tank.. with various other non aggressive plecos.. I would say his L200 and L128 are great.. along with his medium size Royals..

Gold nuggets and snowballs are good too if u have tankmates that aren't huge.. I have two arowana.. so i dont put any baby plecos in there...

Eh I don't think I can fit much more in terms of bioload. The little BN is not shy at all, he is up & down my tank walls constantly. There's a lot of algae for him, plus I've got some zucchini squash for him. Oddly he doesn't seem to have explored/munched on my driftwood yet, do BN's eat wood? Or is only panaque, royals, etc?

only panaque species.. they have the bacteria gut to digest wood
