as for activity levels i would like a Bichir that will come out during the day and will sit there and look good as hopefully my tank will be a calm tank not one full of activity.

senegals and delhezis will swim around alot.
and many of the rest will get really big.
try some of the other rarer smaller ones.
 
Thanks i think i will try a Del, ill probably end up with loads!! and i dont really mind if they swim a lot, it would just be nice lol.

The LFS i go to has Senegal and Dehlzis in stock all the time so i thought i'd start off with those and progress on.

yea get a bunch im gonna start collecting bichirs i have one small senegal right now after i bring the hoards of baby jd's i have hopefully ill be coming back with albino senegal, endli, and delhezi......
 
yea nad not to crash your party or anything, getting a bck would not be the smartest idea if your getting sd's datnoids, and a few bichirs, tank will not be able to handle the out take the fish will produce not to mention youll need a 200 g tank to house the bck in the future, where as you could easily upgrade all though those fish to a 125 or 150 and it would be fine with some room to spare for more poly's if you get addicted
