This seems to be heading in a negative direction. Play nice or this will have to be closed up ;).

I've said my peace I agree with TG and Ethnics they both keep overstocked tanks. Not upset just my opinion so have a nice friendly day people. I keep overstocked tanks too but I let my fish turn :)

besides if that DOES end up over stocked he can just send some of them my way! :naughty: eh.

you should add some fish while your at it like an arapima............put that on your list and watch some of these folks come unglued. haha. i do agree thought that it is a small tank. but you could start a few fish in the tank. good luck

This tank is going to be a major PITA. The tigers and polypterus prefer neutral to alkaline water. The angels and motoro need water on the acidic side. Also, the temp requirements are higher for the acidic fish. And, even by itself, a 50 is just wrong for any ray. And, not due to the ray's eventual size but, because the water quality will change too radically, for a ray, in a tank that size. Their diet and waste production simply make a 50 too impractical maintenance-wise.

just to prove oddball is never EVER wrong, I have a standard 55 w/ 2 veil angels 3"tlish 1 blue aro 8"ish and one parrot 4" ish and ABSOLUTELY no social life, and its still a huge pita as he so eloquently put it. talking at the very minimum 20 minutes a day cleaning not to mention feeding, general observation, feeding, feeding myself, feeding. long and short rays ESPECIALLY motoros eat alot. damn I need a life

EDIT: the 55 is only temporary, please no shouting at me. in the process of building the 125 stand then the glorious indoor pond(babysteps)
