Help me choosemy next FH

Elvis is long dead. These are hybrid and not all of the juvies will grow up to look like parents. These fish are overprice especially for a group buy. If you want to see nice juvie from ILC, go to his house, I am pretty sure that he has some better grade that he is not selling in the group buy.

To the buyer, buy what you like and what you can afford. What you like might not be what I like. Don't be fool by pictures of show parents and there is no proof that the juvies are from the parent fish either. Believe what you want to believe.

to me:
color-wise, they are ok.
Head-wise, I don't see good head, but then again, its hard to tell if the head is a hard head or water head by picture.
Body-wise, they are ok, not great.
pearl-wise, only a few have good pearls.

Over all, they are too expensive and low grade. Check aquabid, once in a while, you will find better fish if you can't find one local.

I don't know ILC or have any bad feelings toward ILC, just stating what I feel.

Everybody is welcome to their opinion and thats fine. For those who want to review past fish from Elvis you will see these fish are on par. They are 3" or a little over and were pulled from the ponds late. As you can see from of the pics of the growth of some of the fish their color, body, pearls and head developed later with this bloodline. As far as the pricing, locals have been upset at the price as well the availability of the fish to USA first and yes you can go on AB and get another fish. Will it be the same? Nope. Will it have different features? Sure will.

Flowerhorns are all about individuals taste and for those who want to own the Elvis blood line this may be one of the last chance as he is getting old and may not be able to get it up any longer.

I believe you are stepping way over the line here. Okay, you just stated Elvis looked just like these offered up for sale@$170 when it was a juvie, then you say you actually haven't seen Elvis as a juvie LMAO.

About Leonidas, It's one in thousands that developed into something comparable to his father Elvis. It sure hell doesn't mean if Leonidas turned like that, all of the same batches will. Also, look at Leonidas pics, you can already tell that he has water head and kok potential, thicker body shape, better colors/pearls, and fins, which you don't see at all on these $170 GB fish. Check out EVERY non MP grade FHs that ILC have sold in the past to US and check out their updates. ALL have hard kok just like these you see offered at $170 with not much dramatic change that will touch anything close to Elvis or Leonidas quality. Basically what I am trying to say is, you get what you pay for, even Danz stated this above.

Well, people think different. You go for the "genes" and "future" hopeful potentials comparing their parents and better quality siblings, I will go for the definite potentials lol. I, and many others were in your boat in the past bro.... Buying juvies in GB for an affordable price, hoping it will turn out to be a MP that they sell for top $$ from the SAME GB. Sorry to burst your bubbles, but these people(ILC this time) are NOT dumb and prices reflect the quality. They can hold on to these frys and grow them up then sell for top $$. Why aren't they doing it? because they already DID! And these are left overs from their cherry pick. Quick question, why haven't you jumped into the GB? You should buy ALL of them and grow them out then re-sell and become a millionaire since you see all MP potentials!

To Danz and for everyone involved in ILC GB, I apologize if I sounded a little like an ass, and sounded kinda like ILC only sells crap fish. Just like all of the FH farms/sellers, ILC sells really nice fish and some not so very nice, and they clearly reflect the price. $750 for future MP and $170 for lower grades. I easily become "hot headed" when someone talk crap showing their illiteracy or with no proof what so ever to back their opinion up.

thing is, i trust Jonz and have seen his fish look like these as Juvis, im not saying they arent over-priced, im just saying they arent as bad as you keep saying they are, everyone is entitled to there own opinion, ill stop there.

i like how you compare any knowledge of mine judging by my flowerhorn, probably the most noobish thing ive seen someone do, but to each there own i suppose, the only reason i dont have any really nice MP quality fish is because Winnipeg doesnt carry them, ****ed if i know why, and i have no real way of getting a nic one here, but i like because i have a couple low grade fish im immediately classified a dumbass... pretty pathetic on your part for posting my fish there...

yo are right in the fact i should not have even mentioned Elvis considering i have no proof.

i do believe they are not as great looking as they could be because one, they arent being fed a lot because he is probably priming them for shipping, and 2, they are being kept in divided tanks, anyone who knows anything what so ever would know they arent in ideal surroundings.

but, i do agree that i would not have chose MP01, i believe there are better on the list you had picked out.

Thats a hard decision for me to make, they all look good, but pricey with no real guaranty of end product. I can say, you get what you pay for most of the time when it comes to flowerhorns as I am sure we all know. Not many $10.00 fish out there that turn out like a champ, no matter what you feed it or do to the water.

Look for what you like, and cross your fingers.

Nothing wrong with the FH you own, it's you that was the problem. If you have no proof or have 100% knowledge about something, it's always better to be silent in this world Keep in mind that's what started the "smackdown".

BTW, about your FH, very long nose, as ugly as it can be tail, semi hard head, and lastly you should give him his own space so it can actually turn out to his full potential.
