  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's just a 10 take it out back and hose it off and everything in it a nozzle with a jet stream will knock off all that crusty stuff.

Well, so far I mixed a solution of 20% vinegar and 5% baking soda in there after I took out all the water and gravel. I washed that out and cleaned off the sides of the tank. Now all I need is a little more cleaning and decor and after cycled... fish!

Vinegar is acidic. Baking soda will raise alkalinity. So by adding the two you are acheiving a nuetral pH which is not effective for cleaning. Best to use one or the other.

Need to be careful with "jet stream" , it could damage the silicone seal by seperating it from the glass.

It was a lot easier to clean than I thought.

I just used a sponge, three buckets, a rolling desk thingy, vinegar, water, baking soda and a towel.

Ya, usually a little effort goes a long way. If there is any hard crusty stuff left after cleaning, it can be easily removed with a razor blade. Use the kind of razors for utility knives(you can wind them in the hardware/tool dept at Walmart) Just be careful they are sharp, you don't want to have to clean blood of your tank too.:)

use a pressure washer

That is a good wat to end up with a leaking tank.
