Why

Why are they illegal anyway?

SH are legal here... And very easy to find... Jars are one of the most common fishes people here own... And As for the lung... it the 1st one i've ever seen... and I've not heard of people keeping reds here....

an asian restureant owner in maryland brought a bunch to the us for his resturant and put them in a pond, they got out and squirmed into the nearest river and started breeding, then they went to new rivers and kept on going till they got to the potomac river surrounding Washington DC and now there are a bunch in there killing all the other fish. so now theyere illegal just cause some people think they are tasty.

i say lung fish

It is more than just one restaurant owner, it was many home aquarium owners.

If jardini's and snakeheads are common in india, and lungs are rare in india, then I saw get a lung.

if you got a bigger tank get the red much cooler fish and by the sound of it its some what less common then jardini so i'd say go for the snakehead the lung would be my second choice very cool fish but not very active thats the only thing bad about them

gigs all the way for other! somthing a bit small.... i would go with a nice SA tank or dat tank. dat tank have some wide bars or indos
SA tank a few p bass a lima nd a oscar or gar just like my tank will be :)
