in a 72 bowfront, what are some good tankmates for geo surinamensis?

You have many fish to pick from. Stick to some of the more easy going SA cichlids. No oscars or temporalis. Other Amazonian earth eaters such as the Juraparoids would work. True Parrots are a good choice too. Remember, species in the surinamensis group need warm (78-80F +) and clean water. Stay away from non Amazoinian species such as Red Humps or GT's.

i plan on it. i recently saw someone on here who had larger tetras in with their geos. this is the route i think i wanna take. how do you guys feel about severums, chocolates?

i would do some dwarfs..like agassi.rams.cockatoos..or do some other eartheater..theres som many

I would make them the only cichlid. They are pretty timid and will look and act better if they are the dominant fish. Also they don't care for large or fast moving tankmates. They stay near the bottom so find somthing thats keeps to the top half of your tank. I wonder how they well they would mix with somthing like congo tetras
