Help Me Decide

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
okay i think i've got it narrowed down to these

- Any kind of Shovelnose Catfish
- Peacock Bass
- African Lungfish
- Another big CA/SA cichlid ( I already have A Jag and Oscars)
or maybe another aro(my bro has one)...........

yea i've only seen senegalus and ornates around here......i have a 6inch senegalus and i don't really see what others see in them............darth i was actually thinking about a lungfish cuz the lfs i'm goin to has a african......its about 7inches.......they're asking $60 for it is that pricey or no? also how compatible are they?

Cool, the Price for a 7' African LungFish at $60 is a little high. Try to work them down, even the old "But it's my Birthday, Thing". The Africans are pretty cool with other tank mates, if well feed. Also give them alot of places to "Hang-Out", they love to just chill. Is this for your 280g or another size tank?

Well whatever i buy will go in a 75gallon for now (that's why i wanted to buy whatever i got small) and then go into the big tank in a couple months..........

African LungFish and the ShovelNose Catfish, with a Royal Pleco from Waldo! Good Match! LoL :grinyes:

75g is a good tank to start with, then by the end of the year or two, Hello 290g!!

so lungs can go with a shovelnose? they'll be compatible? i just know nothing about lungs so i might steer away from it seeing i'm getting it tommorow and i know nothing about them........yea that pleco is monster i hate plecos though...........

cool i'm glad im not the only one who that would be ok.....i'm gonna have them in a quarentine tank till the weekend(prolly a 30 gallon) then they'll be in the 75gal........

well...what ya into?? u want more catfish? cichlids? arowanas? wadda bout turtles? which way u leaning towards?

African LF can be cool, little alot of space. But for a 75g, I would with the ShovelNose and a Texas Red or P-Bass. The same size and small with the plans to get a bigger tank.

Africans and any other lungfish are "easy" to take care of, it just requires tank space, time and alot of money for food! LoL
