I am looking at getting either a

delhezis
endlicheri endlicheri
lapradei

please post pictures or give me reasons I should pick one over another...Thanks-Mike:nilly: :nilly: :nilly: :nilly: :nilly: :nilly:
 
what are the dimensions of your tank? endlis and laps can grow twice as big as delhezis so tank space will be an issue. also since they can grow bigger, tankmates would also have to be bigger than what you could put in with the delhezis. delhezis are also generally more active compared to endlis and laps so if you like fairly active fish go with a delhezi.
 
I will get about a 12" poly to start off. I will be putting them into a 100 gallon at first then upgrading to a 300 gallon.
 
here's my del and one of my endli's. my endli's are almost as active as my del and both are about 10". love them both so get one of each! i'd prob go for a del while you've got your 100g and then get some endli's in once you've got the 300g. if you are planning to get a 12" specimen it'll be hard to find either but that del will be pretty much full grown. i'd tend to suggest buying a del about 6-7" or so and watch it come on a bit. i tend to stay from laps as find them a bit snappy!

Cheers estuary. The endli's can get big quick or sometimes not so quick. The one in the pic is growing about an inch a month for last 3 months but I've got another that i got at the same time and size and that one has grown 8 inches in 3 months! And i also have an endlicheri congicus that grew from 4" to 14" in 3 months!
 
I like both the endli and dels but only keep the dels because they don't get as big as the endli's if I had a really large tank though like a 300gal then I would most definatley get an endli....

right now I have a 13-14" delzehi a 11-12" ornate and a smaller 8" delhezi. Both of the larger bichirs leave the lil guy alone...
