I've never found size difference a problem if there's enough room in the tank. this is a pic of my smallest senegal at about 8" and my considerably larger endlicheri congicus and they get along fine.

(in a 'drug dealer'-like tone...) You can also get all of them and have temporary tanks for each one til you get the 300. Just a suggestion though...
