Help me decide

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I want to see this, I'm really considering PFS for my aquarium. I'm a little tired of barebottom

I will rinse it very well. I'm looking for more yellow if I can find it, as well as painting my tanks back and sides black...

All black works for my 15 gal but I the fish are more comfortable

I like a tan substrate and black background. Too much black, and the fish will try to blend in with dark colors, not looking as bright. Also if you are looking for a more natural CA aquascaping, tan is what you want IMO. It seems to be the case in most locations.

I think it's the best looking, my scape will be African. Great tanks everyone

Reactions: cichlidfish
Kept zonatus on black and it did change the appearence. Base color was darker but it did bring out the blues more. Kept pearsei on tan pfs and red sand havent notice any major changes in appearence

If it's gonna be africans you might want to throw a few bags of dolomite in the mix

Sorry misinterpreted your post
Don't worry, Africans is a bit of a general term often given to the cichlids. Pelvachromis are available to me but may end up as a snack
