My 1 and a half year old Flowerhorn is always staying in the corner of the tank and has white stringy poop. His colour is the same just slightly pale. He only comes up to eat and goes right falls back down. His tummy is a little bit big so I’m guessing it’s why he falls down? I tried soaking some of his pellets in garlic for a few minutes. He isn’t as active anymore as he used to be, please help. What should I do?

Check ur water parameters first. What kind of pellet are u feeding? Is the poop always white and stringy? I’d suggest soaking the pellets in Epsom salt sol (1/2 cup distilled water and 3/4 tsp of epsom salt) till it can be figured out.

The pellets are small Okiko head huncher and colour faster. Whenever I see him his poop is white and stringy. Sometimes there are small normal colored poop in the tank.

Would try the Epsom salt solution. Good sign is it has an appetite.

Try adding some plants and decor. Might help to reduce stress instead of being out in the open.

Give him a cave he can hide out in, and come out when he wants to. Lower the lighting if you can, surface plants fake or real. Can be as simple as a terracotta pot. Younger fish will hide more till size and adolescence takes over.
