Ok well thenOkidokie, Well here is my honest answer.
You can in fact keep all those fish in that 160, eventually probably sooner then later the RTM will kill the Oscar and GT even at 3 or 4 inches an RTM will be more aggressive then a 5 inch Oscar or a 5 inch green terror. My personal experience has led me to believe that RTM are even more aggressive then Dovii, until a Dovii get size on them.
As far as breeding a Dovii to an RTM, those questions are better left for the Hybrid section. You won’t find much love for hybrids here. Many, including myself really hate it when people pollute the hobby with hybrids as it’s a quickly spreading epidemic. Many many cichlids you find in pet stores are hybrids and anymore you can’t trust them unless you get them from a trusted source.
However, I will tell you I think having a male RTM and Female Dovii will increase your chances. If you where serious about it. You would get 2 or 3 female Dovii and but the male RTM in a tank with them and let a pair form while they are small.
As far as longevity, no all those fish will absolutely not work in that tank long term. Oscars can reach up to 12 inches or so, Flowerhorns often hit 12 but I’ve heard of rumors of bigger. The Jack Dempsey will hit around 8-10 and the green terror around 10. The chances they don’t kill each other are very slim. RTM’s top out around 12 inches and female Dovii can hit in the high 20’s but much more commonly 18-20inches.
You see where this would be a problem them?
If you have a 6ft tank you MIGHT be able to get away with the Oscar, Jack, and green terror in it.
I really just can’t imagine the RTM being peaceful, but maybe? Each cichlid have completely different personalities. So it will work for alittle bit, maybe. But you really need to think about what you want to do in the future. Even if it does work you will have many a torn fin.
There is my rant I hope some of it was informative.
Well what i wanted was the meanest fish i could get! I thought a hybrid would be good but guess thats not the case.Okidokie, Well here is my honest answer.
