Help me I.D. this fish

Thanks everyone for the I.D. help. This is my first serious attempt kepping the Africans. I would like to ask what you think is the best ratio idea to keep them. Considering I don't care to breed them, should I only keep males in the 55 gallon tank and how many would you say is "most" I can stock in the tank. I do 25% water changes every week. Thanks again!

Lucky you! Definitely looks to be a female red empress do the other 4 look exactlythe same? strange the owner sold them as eureka red though !!! hopefully you got some males out of the batch!

Its a red empress. i have a female-they stay black and silver. i wish mine had turned out to be a male though-they are quite beautiful!

55gal is good as a grow out tank, but for haps you need a 6' tank ...at least a 125gal.
