Sorry for the poor pictures but he's the new addition to the tank. He's a Lake Victorian for sure but with much more green and red than my sp.44? It was damn hard taking this pictures and I couldn't get a good shot of him in all his glory. I'll continue to keep trying for a better shot.

When excited, there's a powder blue glow in his dorsal fin? He's really spectacular when exhibiting his dominance.

ive kept them before, beautiful fish, there hard to get info on. and it took me a long time, but those are deffinetly what i had.
thy can be quiete aggresive towards their tankmates, i had a male that was incharge of the tank. very colourful.
perhaps they were sold to you as Obliquidens. mine were
 
I hate to disagree, but that is definitely not a thick skin hap. The red goes all the way down on his face.

It is a Pundamilia neyererei Python Island. I used to have a trio of these. Notice the amount of bars on the side. A lot more than a hap 44.
