Help me Id this pbass please?

Don’t like to argue either and I really don’t give crap about being right or wrong not trying to be rude please don’t take it wrong, I don’t know 100% if it’s not a wc pinima or farmie pinima or hybrid and frankly neither does anyone here except the person who brought this fish in or bred the fish. But we all have opinions on the what we see I still think it’s a pinima.

On a side note these larger growing bass Tems, pinima @22-28” mark considered adult size? I still believe they are juvenile at this stage am I incorrect for thinking this?
Show me a 28” Pinima lmao biggest anyone ever had on here is 24” max ppl who compare tems to Pinima in max size haven’t kept Pinima long enough tems on this site have reached 32-34” Pinima haven’t come close. As far as a hybrid Pinima they haven’t been bred in captivity so all are wild caught, he lives in Indonesia home of the hybrid. And half of the pics you posted are cichla thyrorus.
yea your taking it personal as if only pinima can look 1 way and cannot vary at all. I still believe it to be pinima. Not all fish look the exact same.
so do tems not look like tems? Do orinos not look like orinos? I’m curious how fish are identified if were going by this theory? All species of fish have a trademark that defines them otherwise we wouldn’t have subspecies. Every single Pinima will have two ocellated blotches particularly the 2nd and 3rd above the lateral line even at juvenile stage if not find me one without. Obviously it was sold to him as a hybrid otherwise he wouldn’t be asking what it was being such a rare fish they would have told him and the price tag woulda reflected it.

I can’t show you a 28” pinima because most people who keep fish lose interest heck you have owned so many and have any of yours reached monsterous size? Most don’t house them in large enough aquariums or most common they die do to poor husbandry or some accidental equipment failure so we agree on this. I understand some of the pics were labeled incorrectly I new this when I posted. So I will stay away from giving my opinions on peacock bass ID’s I apparently suck at it you obviously have done your homework. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on pinima’s I have learned some valuable info once again on mfk love this forum!

Nothing personal just don’t wanna see these hybrids glorified as pure breds, in fact I wish they would stop entering the trade all together. It’s all over fb Instagram here it’s outrageous yes some look good but I’m sure most of us prefer the wild variety pure bred strains we all know and love! One common thing most of the time with these hybrids is that they mostly all origniate out of Indonesia because they inject hormones to get bass to breed and produce these hybrid strains. I love your bass and everyone else’s bass that are wild caught. I just can never fall in line for these hybrids, just like some are against flower horns some are against parrot fish that’s all.

I hear you and most definitely nothing personal have always been a fan of your stock as well. You have a valid point some members on here view keeping non WC bass as watered down Cichla keeping because you just don’t get the same quality of fish worse with hybrids. Those hybrid Kelberi recently brought in by predatory Fin’s had some crazy patterns and I almost bought a pair but in all honesty I have been waiting around from some WC Kelberi to come in that are not tocantins still regretting not getting 5 R Parana kels from Rapps, I want to change my stock around because my interests have shifted to rays but I want a group of 5 WC Kels, trio of zebrina pikes, luteus pleco to keep with the rays in the 600 gallon. So I hope we will get some WC kels in some day soon I will continue to hope.
