Help me identify this fish

I’ll buy it if it’s the correct fish that’s why I’m asking. That’s why im asking if it’s a Super Red Monkey flowerhorn.

I think Dano's point is, a Super Red Monkey flowerhorn is an undefined hybrid. There is no certain recipe of 23% this, 47% that, 30% the other thing that equals a Super Red Monkey flowerhorn. Its just a hybrid of a bunch of stuff that results in something that looks like what they say a Super Red Monkey flowerhorn looks like.

So if it looks like a Super Red Monkey flowerhorn it is a Super Red Monkey flowerhorn.

Its up to you to decide if it looks enough like a Super Red Monkey flowerhorn for you to label it such. It's not as Red as a high quality "Super Red" hybrid "should" be in my opinion. But, its young and in a holding tank. So who knows what it'll look like once it matures in its permanent environment with dark substrate and background and loaded up on a spirulina fueled diet.

Because hybrids are combinations of species (mutts), there isn't any legitimate species nomenclature, so whomever creates them, can just make up an anime type, Pokemon name and hope it has commercial value.
If its reddish in color, "red monkey" will probably fit as a likely moniker, because all hybrids are illegitimate mutts, who could call it wrong.

Indeed!
Like I said, if you like it, buy it. As for its name, call it whatever you want. End of story

Looks like it could be and it’s dirt cheap for an SRM so not much risk. The tail looks narrow though… I’m used to seeing them with wrapped tails like kamfa but maybe it’s just the angle of the pic. Also, if it’s male, doesn’t have much of a kok but that could change over time. Either way, it’s cheap so can’t expect a prime specimen
