HI,

i am planning on settingup up a 30 gallon tank in my dorm next semester but want to set up the tank at home over the summer first...

ive had larger tanks and evryone loved my rbp's now i am downgrading to a 30gallon tank and want to know what is the largest Monster fish i can keep in a 30 gallon...

my lfs has told me there are small wolf fish that i can put but i have read here that they can be boring

does any one have any suggestions on an agressive fish that would work in a 30 gallon?????

thanks!!!!

naw, even sengals get to big for 30 gals

it really depends up to you, 30 gallons, is really limiting your monster capabilites, just search around the web and you might find something that gets your attention.

butterfly fish aren't very active, leopard ctenopoma is pretty cool though.

Really a Firemouth would look nice in there too and they are pretty tough.

Exodons or a black P

firemouths or rainbows

thanks for all the suggestions i know im asking alot out of a 30 gallon but my school only allows a 5gallon and i got in trouble for having a 55 gallon last years so i figured a little down grade might be better....

anyways ive been reading up on a black piranha from other posts on the site.... they grow 1-2 inches a year so would buying a decent size (3-5 inches) be good to keep in a 30 gallon for 2 years until id need to upgrade my tank????

basically i want to get the biggest fish ican that will eat live fish etc... if the black doesnt work out i like the idea of the firemouth....

thanks for your input

If your willing to do the extra work, what about a leaf fish. They will only take live food though.
