my 37 gallon planted tank is really lame right now and i need some help
i want to go for the overgrown jungle look and the main thing i want is a ground cover plant to cover the gravel (flourite)
my main question is how do i get the 3-D look in my tank like this picture as in the mounded look in the middle

i have a planted 30 cube i just threw plants in were they looked good and let them grow. Mine is has the overgrown jungle look. All you have to do is let it grow! Heres some pics.

wow that is a neat tank! do you have co2 supplementation?
also i read any surface agitation will make co2 levels go down, if there is no surface agitation wont the oxygen levels go down?

:irked: i dont have a co2 system
i read the sticky about dosing dried fertalizers on that plan and a 50% water change at the end of the week, my question is where do you get those ferts?

im no plant expert but my guess is with the setup and plants it might be tough to get that real over grown look or at least quickly.

I have a 20 long with some anubias, crypts, banana plants, and i think water wisteria ( i might have two varieties of it). ill try to get some pics later.

but what ive realized is that alot of the plants are very slow growing. i dont have c02 and just have two flourescent lights about. everything is healthy but i just dont get fast growth out of my anubias or crpyts. altho my wisteria grow like wildfire. i keep having to remove is so my tank doesnt get over grown. id suggest trying to maybe get some plants like these. ill try to get some pics of them later

i saw u had some anubias and crypts and they just grow to slow i think.

i think it will be hard to get the lush jungle look w/o co2. most thick carpeting plants require lots lof light/co2 to cover a big area...
