im no plant expert but my guess is with the setup and plants it might be tough to get that real over grown look or at least quickly.

I have a 20 long with some anubias, crypts, banana plants, and i think water wisteria ( i might have two varieties of it). ill try to get some pics later.

but what ive realized is that alot of the plants are very slow growing. i dont have c02 and just have two flourescent lights about. everything is healthy but i just dont get fast growth out of my anubias or crpyts. altho my wisteria grow like wildfire. i keep having to remove is so my tank doesnt get over grown. id suggest trying to maybe get some plants like these. ill try to get some pics of them later

i saw u had some anubias and crypts and they just grow to slow i think.
okay i will look into getting some wisteria thank you
i would love to see some pix put them here when you get a chance

okay is there a co2 system you reccomend then?
for something cheap, i recommend a Milwaukee regulator, cheap glass diffusor or DIY reactor, get a used 5lb bottle, some light timers and your done! should cost you way less than $200. even cheaper would be DIY co2, which i have never messed with

co2 is crack for plants!!!!!!! 55g, 2wpg T5HO lighting, pressurized co2 (about 6ps), complete dosing routine :)

i have seen your tank before and that is unreal
what is the plant that is covering the gravel?

thats a nice plant, Amano uses hairgrass a lot. ive never used it, but i have read on some forums that it can be pretty hard to grow and is fairly demanding plant, especially if you want a carpet with it...

ok they made it sound really easy to grow on that website

the foreground i had was blyxa japonica. beautiful plant and it sends side runners all the time so you could split it up.

as for the fizz factory thing, dont know never used that. but i dont think youll be able to maintain ideal co2 levels for a lush carpeting plant, like 30ppm+
