Uh, my two cats, Stewart and Rupert, come running you call them. They also play fetch, want their bellies rubbed, and think the pizza guy is awesome cause he brings grub. Time to rethink cats.

Cats can be trained just like dogs, it's a bit more difficult because they don't do it to please you, they do it for rewards. However, they are just as intelligent as a dog. My cat had good recall, he would lay down, sit, speak and stand on his hind legs on command.
