Help me out with my new 4x2x2 tank

i would do sand and lots of plant without any wood or other decor i think since the tank isnt soo long the gar would look cool lurking threw the plants from the mid and top while the bichir is scavaging threw the plants on bottom
 
i dont kno much on gars but i dnt think more than 1 adult gar can b comfortable in a 4 foot tank u can prolly do two 4 soo long>... and if they look comfortable at adult
 
Depending on what kind of bichir. I've never kept gars but im quite one can't live life in a 4'x2' footprint they need much larger. Especially since that gar can grow up to 3' a 24" tank wont work because they aren't flexible enough to turn around. and any other bichir except sengal and i think delhenzi can't live in the tank for life either. So if you're not planning to upgrade id say no gars and that one won't fit for life and may like 1 or two more sengals could work. and with decor i say sand is a must and some floating plants for the bichir to "nest" in they like to do that.
 
Drain it and send it to me! LOL!!! I've been on a sand kick. Love the colors available and the ability to mix and match to get some cool bottom designs. Not a big fan of the price tag though. Usually buy just a couple bags at a time till the tank is done.
