If the FX5's too big, just go for the XP4. They FX5's are pretty bulky and are about 18" diamter (I think). Then roughly 16-20" high.

i know for a fact that the eheim pro 3 is 23inches h and 13 inches wide

Now I'm tempted to just buy the FX5 and run the whole tank off it for a few days while I down size my sump by a few inches. Either that or re-design my sump from scratch. hrmmm

The XP4 what is it rated at for GPH. I checked Rena's site and they have no info on it, what about the FX5 is that made by Rena?
