help me pick a cichlid

My vote goes to the chocolate cichlid.big and beautiful, amd they aren't belligerant like some SA/CA cichlids so if you ever want to add more fish they dont get as aggressive as some

Makes me miss my uaru, such a personable fish. Most ca/sa generally fit this bill though, but it comes down to the individual fish for sure

My Oscars are very friendly. They eat from my hand. However, they like everyone and will never jump through the hoop I hold above the tank.
A fat head doesnt equate to a big brain. I teach special ed, trust me.

I forgot to mention it cannot have hard water requirements as the water around here is very soft and acidic.
That pretty much rules out Central Americans (unless you want to buffer your water). Oscar or Uaru would be great choices...

to me it does. I like intelligent personality fish like puffers and knives. Do flowerhorns like soft water? if they don't would a green terror work in my tank?
