Hi everyone I'm looking into breeding/keeping plecos & need help with picking a species. I have a 90 gallon aquarium with driftwood and I'm currently keeping Roselined barbs (Puntius denisonii). Here is what I'm looking for in a pleco. 1.Doesn't eat driftwood 2.Stays under 8in 3.Not aggressive 4.Nice looking 5.Can be kept with live plants 6.Looking to spend around $60 <These are just guidelines and not set in stone except the nice looking part ;)

L200 wont eat wood. They love fresh veggies tho. Mine will destroy half a green pepper over night. Id highly recomend them. Or check out some hypancistrus like the l340 or l270.

I like L-270. I don't know man i really like L-075 L-270 & snowball plecos. Can i keep/breed more then one species of pleco in my 90 gallon aquarium? I will have a lot of rock work/ caves. Thanks for the help guys

Probally just bn and other plecos that get around 6 inch mark. Forget trying to breed the larger ones as they usually need ponds and mud banks. You could probally keep a pleco that gets 12 inches in a 90 but be prepared as plecos are poop factories and will require strong filtration. They don't move much except at nite but no more than 1 if you get a species that hits the 12 inch mark.
